Well you see I was playing DX through again but this time using only my pistol and riot prod. I found myslelf somewhere, can't remember where, needing to snipe. Then i remebered that Zyme zooms your sight in. 30sec. later I found myself sniping with Zyme. My question is does anyone else have uses for it I havent heard of or is this the only wierd one?

Anyone ever done a count of how many Zyme vials there are in the game?

There's...9 that you can get without paying for them, IIRC. Two from the corpses in the 'ton, 2 from the Battery Park statue, 4 in the oven in Paris, and one from the drug dealer's corpse if you killed him. Those are all the ones that I can remember offhand.

That's all? Hmm, seems like there's a lot more. Like the one you find inside the Gas Station tanker trunk. And I think one of the girls you get into the Lucky Money is carrying Zyme.

There are a few in the Catacombs, too. I believe they are in bunker 3.

Hmnn...Did Zyme ever make it into that wonderful sequel? I can't remember off hand if it did or not, but I only played it through once.

There are a lot more than 9. A lot of people (surprisingly or not) carry zyme. Some of the junkies in the mole people subway station, the woman with the Gray Death in the Lucky Money bathroom, I <i>think</i> the fat whore in the Old China Hand and some others I'm sure. I haven't played in too long to remember correctly, but I think there are 6 vials in the Paris bakery and if you save all the zyme vials 'til then you can pick up only two of the ones in Paris before reaching the limit.
I don't think I've ever tried it, so I can't say if sniping actually works with the drunk effects. The targeting cursor is what determines where the bullet goes, so if the cursor fills the entire torso of an enemy, theoretically you can't miss. That goes for the scope, but like I said, I'm not sure if it works with drunk effects too.
Speaking of drunk effects, considering how much alcohol you can pick up in the game, I'm sure it's cheaper to just drink a few bottles instead of using a vial of zyme.

There are 17 useful vials in the game that I've found (those that you can sell to the drug dealer (= 1105c)) and several more after Paris.

There are 5 or 6 zymes in the box near the repairing bot in sampan (Hong-Kong, canal section).

At low skill levels, teh scope wobbles so much anyways that drugs might actually be better, I dunno. Anyways, cool find!
