I was relaxing near the campsite of some neutral stalkers and one of them began to tell a story in Russian (as they often do)
As part of the story the stalker seemed to impersonate a zombie and made the same noise that they do. The story seemed to be a funny one.
I was wondering whether anyone who understands Russian and who knew the story I am referring to could give me a summary.
Just curious is all.
Wish there were subtitles!

I'm not sure which one you mean. There were quite a few in which stalkers distorted their voices. F.e. about controller, bloodsucker, "black stalker".
Try to make an English transcription of the first sentence, or the last, or what is said in distorted voice.

I always wish I could understand the campfire tales and the a.i. barks. Maybe I should have taken Russian in High School instead of Japanese. Especially since I have much more interest in former Soviet media these days than what the wacky Japanese are doing/

there is a whole thread on the english section of the GSC GAME website that talks about all the jokes, songs and stories.

Thanks for the link.
I haven't heard the speech again, but even if I did I doubt it would help much. I find it hard to pick up the words without some basic knowledge of Russian.
I suspect that it might have been the one about the controller and the truck.
I did Japanese too, and now wish I'd done a european language.
You think samurai and manga but the reality is a bunch of cookie-cutter squares with immaculate side partings and who keep their shirts tucked into their trousers even when it's 40 degrees celcius!
Maybe it doesn't pay to generalise...
