So I've played the first couple hours, almost done with the initial tutorial area. Loving how systems-driven it is. Although it's a tutorial area it really feels often like the game just leaves you to your devices and expects you to figure it out, and isn't too strict about having a one correct solution to obstacles.
Storywise I can't tell if this is supposed to be a continuation of BOTW, or unconnected to it?
Who else is takin a lil trip to Hyrule this weekend?

I played this for a bit last night. I haven't touched BOTW in 5 years (and yes, this is a sequel/continuation), but it still all felt very familiar (in a good way). Some of the new abilities are really cool, and have huge potential for creative gameplay. I'm not that far either, but everything so far just looks big and huge and vast, and I can tell this is a going to be a gigantic exploration fest. Much fun.

I was just kidding. But at least according to the Digital Foundry review it sounds like there are a ton of emergent systems at play, more so than Breath of the Wild.

I don't understand why it is called Legend of Zelda, there is barely any Zelda in it. It should be called Legend of Link
