Iggles, would it maybe be worth you visiting an animal rescue centre before you get another turtle from a pet shop?
Only reason I ask is because turtles are one of the most abandoned pets around, and there's probably loads knocking round for free without you having to buy one :thumb:

Yeah, that is the more desirable option, stronts, but I've found that finding red eared sliders needing new homes near London easier said than done. I don't quite get that as all I hear is how abundant they are but googling (for several hours) has so far failed me. I should probably try calling around places before buying. I'll let you know :)

Red-Ears are a dime a dozen on this side of the Atlantic. You can find them in streams and ponds etc, but of course you don't want to do that on account of who knows what parasites / diseases they might have.
Plus I heard there is gold inside them.
