The new year is almost upon us and the number of hours until we have to roll Auld Lang Syne out can now be counted in double digits. Your topical predictions for 2009, Internets.
* Gordon Brown Fails to Call a General Election - You just know my illustrious leader, the right honourable Captain Tool is going to stick around until he's booted out in 2010, isn't he?
* Obama Assassinated - This theory has been widely touted around lately, but it's one that regrettably, I happen to think holds some water. There's a really nasty ratio of racists to availability of weaponry in the US and I'd expect a couple of attempts if nothing else. Of course the worst part is that we'd have to put up with everyone digging out and waving those frickin' 9-11 flags for the next 5 years and looking tearful on TV. Sorry America, but I can't stand that shit. Stiff upper lip, and all that.
* Oil Price Rises Again - Pretty damn sure oil is soon going to bottom out soon, at which point it'll climb back up again due to production cuts, even if demand has tailed off slightly due to reduced usage by heavy industry and manufacturing. Not buying a car that uses a lot of petrol any time soon.
* Duke Nukem Forever Released - Something with slightly less pessimism - I figure my odds have to be pretty good by now! Are you listening, Broussard? I got money on this.

I predict a decreasing reliance on fossil fuels as people and governments realise that we've used a large part of our natural resources in the last 100 years and as global population, and hence need for the same fuels, is doing nothing but going up and up it's completely unsustainable to continue as we are!
Phew

Brown will borrow even more money to rescue poorly run businesses in order to make it look like he's saving the world.
Lord Mandy will become involved in another scandal.
Obama will prove to be a disappointment, unless he's assassinated in which case lots of people will cry in public and wail about the loss of a great leader.
[hopefully] Fewer people will stop relying on money that doesn't exist.
People will become less tolerant of the BBC wasting money on presenters undergoing mid-life crises.

-Atleast at my country everything shall get even more expensive (although we are in Europe, in other Europe countries like germany everything shall be WAY cheaper).
-Also i expect The Dark Mod released inside that year somewhere.
-Then i would like to think, that i'd be able to play Thief FMs and actually have the freedom to watch some series i've missed...
-I won't give up my hopes on the bow upgrade.
-Alas, i expect that Hadron thingy to wipe us from the face of the planet. Yeah, right! Hahaha (just making fun of the retard that actually did suicide cause of it)!

War against the drug cartels in Mexico will continue to intensify.
Number of murdered people related to this, or not, will keep rising.
Kidnappings and exortion will follow suit making most Mexicans more paranoid now.
Fun times, lads.
