I received multiple e-mails warning me about the June 20 shuttering (in response to which I switched to a new e-mail for any senders I still wanted to receive mail from); did you not?

Not that I was aware off. Google's new auto-sorting mechanics may have played a role. I can't check it now..

CortexReaver sent us multiple warnings that this was going to happen. So I transferred everything that I could remember being registered with the @trioptimum.com address to a new e-mail address.
I don't know if it would actually be possible to have kept this working; apparently the number of users being over 10 was an issue. But we managed to keep our @ttlg.com accounts, which are also hosted by Google, and I'm sure that there's more than 10 of us using it.

I didn't get any warning. I lost a lot of e-mails and I have had trioptimum connected with payments for 16 years. is there any way to recover the email itself? and what about youtube premium linked to this account? will I be subject to subscription or will they automatically terminate?
EDIT:
yes the cortex reaver warned me on june 13 but missed it - too much work. what to do now?

Yes, this really is a little nightmare! However, I think we really shouldn't direct our anger against Cortex Reaver at all. It's pretty clear that Google is to blame for this needless mess and CR definitely did send several reminders in time.
Personally, I thankfully didn't use this adress for really important things (I hope, time will tell) but transferring as much stuff as possible from my YT-channel to the replacement gmail-account cost me many hours. What a fuckup of them not to provide proper ways of account-migration...

No anger, just need some way of recovery even if only temporary, so I can notify and change some registered accounts over to another address like b3s3 and presumably everyone else. Problem is that while Google mentions "this account was deleted, but it may be recoverable" it doesn't seem to be the case according to 'Google Toolbox' which says
Quote:
We could not find [user]@trioptimum.com.
It appears that the account [user]@trioptimum.com is not part of trioptimum.com.
Please make sure the provided account is part of the domain.
Which sadly makes sense as google mentions deletion, but there must be some way.

Surely our data is still being stored for many more months/years on some obscure Alphabet-servers but I sincerely doubt that they're willing to hand anything back to you at this point. I guess if you really need to feel that you have tried everything in your power, you should be reaching out to their support (which might be tricky in itself). If you do, please keep us posted about the results.

This was my thinking as well, but so far proved tricky indeed. I don't see a route towards contacting them that doesn't see me cut off with the "Contact your administrator"-message. I haven't had much time yet to look into it, or I would've tried more stuff, but the "contact support route" that Google themselves offer is a dead end right now.

You may want to look for hotline phone numbers. I've seen some specifically for Germany, so chances are that they also offer them for other countries.

I could care less about more of the emails I've lost, didn't use the Google drive for anything important, etc, etc.
What I *do* care about is continuing to access the services that are linked to that email account. I almost lost access to a bank account, and have lost access to Pokemon Go.
It is supposedly possible to keep access to most of these things for free, but requires action on Cortex Reaver's part. See the linked Google Support article below, which says in part:
Quote:
What if I use G Suite legacy free edition for personal use?
If you’re using the G Suite legacy free edition for non-commercial purposes, you can opt out of the transition to Google Workspace by clicking here (requires a super administrator account) or going to the Google Admin console. You can continue using your custom domain(s) with Gmail, retain access to no-cost Google services such as Google Drive and Google Meet, and keep your purchases and data.
Here's the (
https://support.google.com/a/answer/60217?hl=en) Google support page on ending legacy g-suite free.
Cortex, if you're still reading this thread, have you tried this snippet? Or could you add one of us as an admin to the workspace so that we can attempt to continue working this issue?
Thanks.
