Yes, the web server for trioptimum.com died after many years of service. I hope to have something to replace it shortly.

Like Cortex said, currently the mail.trioptimum.com redirect is being hosted on my server as the main trioptimum.com web server is down. This does not affect any mail services (since all the mail services are handled by Google).
Valet2's suggestion is good as well; you can always access your trioptimum.com mail by going to (
http://mail.google.com/a/trioptimum.com).
For me, I actually just go to mail.google.com, which will ask for your full email address. So that may work for you, but your mileage may vary, of course. :)

I'm having no trouble reaching and receiving email on my TriOptimum email account. What do you mean "gmail said that it was shut down"? As long as the domain's MX records don't change then it should continue to work. I received an email message on the account 9 hours ago, so it's definitely still working.

Well, that is what i receive after i try to log into my account. No idea what I did wrong, prolly nothing, i suppose someone was trying to break into my account or smth...i'd love to get my account back. Rly Rly. 10 years of mailing history and google drive with important stuff, blogspot, youtube, u know...:/
