I may be completely stupid, but I can't seem to get my TriOp account to work with Thunderbird! Any hints?

Are you using POP or IMAP? Did you go into the settings via the web client and enable which ever protocol? Did you follow Google's configuration guide?

PS: If you're picking Gmail as Thunderbird's server-type, that actually uses POP, so that needs to be enabled. I always recommend IMAP, however.

Only variation from these instructions is that you have to use "luser@trioptimum.com" for the username.

Got it working. Put my full Tri Op email into the username field. whoops.
