Gadget freak here, just curious what everyone uses for their favorite tunes/video:
Me -
1) Cowon D2 - Great sound, small size, touchscreen, SDHC expansion slot, kickass battery life.
2) Insignia Sport - pretty basic player, I only use this one for working out, but I got it for one reason - it was the cheapest bluetooth player I could find. Sound is pretty good too.
You?

Writing this very post on my iTouch, which I also use for music and video when away from home.
I think more and more over the next few years, that question will become "What convergent device do you use?"
Only thing I don't like about the touch is the Apple Store DRM.

Myself also, but thank goodness for the increasing prevalence of iTunes Plus music!

iPod Touch & iPhone 3G for me.
Both these are ridiculously good pieces of technology, the iPhone especially.
I don't have a massive problem with the iTunes DRM, but now that some of the music labels have seen sense I expect we'll see a big increase in iTunes Plus tracks. Either that or Amazon will finally bring their MP3 store to Europe.

Yeah, iPod Classic plus iPhones here. I like to have sightless control of the player for some of the occasions I use it, so the mechanical action of the Classic suits me better than the Touch. Mum and I bought my technophobic father a Nano a couple of years ago, he thinks its the best thing since sliced bread now!
Going off-topic slightly, if you take an old (3rd gen) iPod to an Apple Store these days, would they be likely to repair it?
David on 14/11/2008 at 14:36
Yeah, I believe so, although they don't usually repair the iPods in store and will send them off somewhere else and as it's a few generations old it may cost quite a bit.
I also have a 2G Nano, which I use on my bike or if I have trouble sleeping because the damn thing is practically indestructible.

Thanks David.
