Now that you guys are getting to grips with the new editor, what are you planning on making first?

getting it to work!

I'm going to try and model the interior of my apartment, beginning with walls and such and hopefully continue to lighting, furniture, etc. Hey I'm new to this, give me a break.

I'm going to recreate an entire authentic medieval city from street plans from the library with all the houses explorable and rooftops roof toppable and I'll have this really cool story where you become a secret undercover keeper agent and have to save the world. twice. Down with the ebil loading zones. I'll start just as soon as thief3editorrelease_jan2005.zip has finished crawling though my phone line. eta 9days 2hrs 14mins.
Seriously though - anyone fancy teaming up on-line style to re-create baffords with the dual purpose of using the experience to throw some more tutorials together?

Don't know how realistic it is, but what I'd like to do is (slowly... probably over the course of a year or more) create a mission that never made it into the game called "The Grave" (interesting little bookending with "The Cradle", which bizarrely, was unintended). I still have all the documentation for it.
It's a kind of Hammer-themed mass tomb.
Not sure it'd be quite as scary as Shalebridge, given that it's a bit more grounded in Thief fiction than than the purely additive Cradle mythology, but it'd be a very ... intense experience, if implemented as specced. :)

That would be a transfer rate of Exactly .420378KBps Jay :weird: Im sure you were kidding of course.
330266KB / 785640 seconds :bored:
An Ion Storm Employee making a FM  Never happened with any LGS member that I know about except Randy Smiths older brother.
So this would basically be like "The Cradle 2" :wot:
Pretty cool having an Ion Stormer building and answering questions with the Thief Community. Your like a celebrity here.

From the Cradle 2 the Grave? You'll just need (

But seriously,

@null... interesting... no doubt that would score big with the crowd.
Has there ever been an FM made by a previous OM designer?
(Not counting Sledge, who made IM beforehand).
It's really great the engagement you guys are having with the community with the release of T3Ed, like the floodgates were opened once everything was said and done.
As for me, I going to start just like I started with dromed -- tutorial style: a little hallway here, little light-source there, maybe a table, and a guard walking down it.

One day, months from now, a level that makes good use of climbing gloves.
