Yesterday I've been through A Brush With Death quest, and I thought of it as of the most mysterious and most unexpected one so far. I was amazed by the look of the painted forest and creatures. And by the idea itself. Escape through a painting? Damn! Isn't that what we all dream about from time to time? :)

Hmm, good question! I really liked that mission also, it just had such a differen't feel to it, it was a shame they didn't ahve more...
My favourite quest was probably the final Thieves Guild quest, mainly due to the build up for the previous 2 quests. THe only time in the game it really felt as though it all connected.

So far, anything where I get to talk to Lucien Lachance. His character-specific response to the 'Rumour' question gets me every time.

This discussion probably belongs in the Hints & Spoilers section.
I like different quests for different reasons, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I'd say that all three of the side quests that you can get in Bravil are the most interesting, while Boethia's shrine quest warms my Scrooge-like heart the most with it's gigantic heap of glass and daedric loot.

I'm watching it like a hawk for any spoilers. I need an excuse to do something, otherwise people may think I just loaf around.

I'm assuming that we're counting guild quests as side quests, so I'm gonna say the final quest in the Dark Brotherhood was by far my favourite.
The tension as you entered the basement of the lighthouse and what you found there was pretty crazy!
And if not that one, then the side quest through a nightmare darkly was awesome fun

Thanks for moving the thread into hints and spoilers - it really belongs here :)

And I really appreciate writing into spoilers carefully for I haven't done all the quests yet :)
So, though the urge to know your favourite quests is rather huge, I would like to not find the contents of a quest inside. Thank you :)

Cheydinhal, towards the southern end of the town (the house is close to, and across from, the fighters guild IIRC).

And by side quest, I'd infer it to mean one which is essentially unrelated to other quests (or perhaps to another minor one), but not part of a longer storyline (hence ruling out several good ones).
I do remember the 'dream' environment of the quest in Bravil as being pretty interesting.
