I think consideration should also be given to stuff like live albums, EPs, splits, singles, demos, etc.- i.e. certain rare stuff would be worth a few percentage points more than just studio albums.
Come on guys, the thread is already too complicated for gunsmoke as it is. No need to make it even more difficult.

If you're judging it by count, I guess mine would have to be Iron Maiden as well. I've got all their studio and live albums.
But realistically they're far from my favourite band, and I think it's a bit of an unfair system because Iron Maiden just happen to have loads of albums. I've also bought every album from several other bands who I like a lot more, but because some of them might only have 3 or 4 albums out, they wouldn't get a look-in.

20+:
Grateful Dead - at least 30 CDs and a few DVDs plus a lot of purchased FLAC and MP3
Genesis - about 30 CDs plus at least a half-dozen DVDs
10-20:
Rush
Dave Brubeck
Phish
Led Zeppelin
Jimmy Buffett
Paul Simon
Bach (counting classical by composer)
5-10:
Police, Cake, Leo Kottke, Peter Gabriel, Gentle Giant, Yes, Bela Fleck, Dave Matthews, Sting, Tori Amos, Vince Gauraldi, Bill Evans, David Grisman, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Phil Collins, Beastie Boys, Johann Strauss (and probably more I'm forgetting)
Tons of random stuff below that. I like almost everything, but lean towards prog, jazz, classical, jam bands, and good songwriting.

17 Pink Floyd ...23 if you count Waters' and Gilmour's solo stuff.
13 Queen
14 Rush
8 Van Halen
12 AC/DC
12 Judas Priest
9 Steely Dan
Lots of various DVD stuff from all the above as well.
Only one I never saw live was Queen. I would really love to be able to time travel back to say 1980 and catch that show.
@fett...no Floyd? Seems odd seeing your list.
