Every game has an ending, DX has a helios in it; it doesn't matter to the hypothetical you cus, well, it only matters when you're playing it.
Far Cry has a trigen ending, Quake 4 has a makron ending; some of them can't even be called telling, they're full-on expected - infact they're highly publicized just so you'd be interesting in playing the game in the first place.
And frankly, if anyone's trying to avoid spoilers (after 6 years of not playing the game, and after the company folded), why would you be reading this thread? I'd even be tempted to say that it's on you!
