I'm running it on a P4 3.00, 1 GB RAM, GeForce 6600, at 1600x1200.
And it's doing beautifully; I've no complaints.

No, Fafhrd, no HDR for us. But hey, are
you experiencing any artifacts like me? It really is crazy. Big, square, solid colored pixels everywhere.
No, I haven't gotten any crazy artifacting anywhere. I'm actually fairly annoyed that they list the x800 series in their recommended cards, but don't support it for all the graphics. It still looks really pretty, but that's dumb.
Just tried cranking the resolution up to 1600x1200, no perceptible (to me, at least) framerate drop with everything available turned on and up.
Athlon 64 3000+
1 Gig RAM
aforementioned Radeon x850 pro.

AMD64x2 4200...
2 GB ram
7800GTX
Runs very decently...and with everything really high at 1240x700.

AthlonXP 3000+
Radeon 9700
1 GB of memory
Runs nicely in 1024x768, mostly with Medium details, but I was able to extend many fade distances with no appreciable hit on performance.
This game is astonishingly beautiful...

What sort of detail level are we talking here? Does it feel choppy? You also have a similar spec to my machine.

I'm curious, too.
I never, ever played any game at 1600x1200. Better lower resolution with some FSAA. Am I missing much?

3500+ @stock
2GB PC3200
Geforce 6800GT (AGP)
Audigy 2
1024x768 (autodetected for high settings and I left everythign default)
There were some noticeable dropped frames at the game start and the outdoors look bad in far off distances but look good up close. If I look up close, I see 3d grass swaying in the wind, but if I turn around and look at the hill 100 yards behind me, then it looks flat and smooth with a bright green flat grass texture.
The game looks and plays great otherwise. this is not a reason to not get it at my specs. I am guessing the bottlenecks are my processor and AGP slot more than anything else. I'll post screens later as I am curious if anyone else has seen the same thing.
I have also noticed a sound bug for attacking monsters. A real quick loud note is played when the monster spots me and then normal music returns even during the attack. Not a big issue, but hopefully fixeable / patchable.
I played for over 2 hours with no crashes and so far absolutely love the game.

what do you have all your sliders set to? i've got athlon xp 3000+, 1gb ram, geforce 7800gs .... all my resolutions get the same FPS because my gpu is bottlenecked by my cpu (i tried 2048x1536 and it got the exact same fps as 1024x768)... but i am getting crap framerates, like average 20 indoors and out, and slower during combat :(

1600x1200, texture size large, all fades at medium, view distance maxed with land, building, and tree distance maxed, interior and exterior shadows at medium, self, grass, and tree canopy shadows on, shadow filtering high, specular distance maxed, HDR on, aa off, water detail high, water reflections and ripples high, window reflections on, and blood decals high. And yeah, it's a bit choppy in spots, and yeah, I may have to turn some of those down. But it's pretty much playable at those settings. Hell, I was so afraid I wasn't going to be able to run the damn thing AT ALL, I'm just fucking thrilled with it. I'm feasting my eyeballs, so to speak.... I don't mean to gush, but sometimes I just stop and stare.
