What graphics card would people recommend I get for approximately £100 (GB)? I've got a gig of RAM, can't remember off the top of my head what my processor speed is, think it's a pentium IV. (I got it about two years ago when it was "OMG" but now it's kind of.. "not bad".
I have to run oblivion on 800x600 as I have a radeon 9600.

What's unacceptable about it? I dropped down to 800x600 to pick up a few extra FPS (quite an improvement, actually) and the game still looks great.

I think it's just fine at 800 x 600 - perfectly playable. But I would like to see it in all its glory. I can run it at full spec, just can't do anything.

This is what happens when you rush through the ordering process without doing enough research. Oh well, it isn't the first time I've done something completely boneheaded...I'll just consider it another lesson learned.
I do my research, but somehow all my stuff turns to crap. Most of the time things don't work right (or atleast how people say it should.) Computers, consoles, pretty much anything digital. Hell, for three years I had dial-up and I was getting kicked off every five minutes. No exaggeration there, either.
I think I'm cursed :-/

i'm thinking 100 quid is around $200 USD>.... you should go for something in the 6800 GT range. it will run oblivion. not with full everything, but with medium to low detail at OK speeds

i WISH i could play in 800x600 to get higher framerates........... but my graphics card is bottlenecked by my CPU, so i get the exact same framerate in 2048x1536 as i do in 800x600...... so i play at 1600x1200 ;)

just sell the GS on ebay for more than you paid for it
