So, what'd ya get that you consider your absolute best Christmas gift?
For me, two pencils from my son so I'd have something to write with. They mean the most to me because, in the first-place, I didn't know he had even wrapped up a gift; and, secondly, he took the time to do so without any prompting and in secrecy; and, thirdly, he did so just because he wanted to get daddy something special.

My normal self says "the stylish handmade silk tie"; the inner Thief fan says "that extra RAM will sure help my TDM maps compile". :erm:

I woke up breathing. Can't beat that. Every day above ground is a good day.

Honestly, the best Christmas gift I got was hanging out with friends. My parents went to Indiana to spend Christmas with my sister, and I was unable to go for various reasons, so I was going to be on my own, but a family nearby found out and invited me over for lunch on Christmas Eve and lunch and dinner Christmas Day and I spent all but a few hours of Christmas with them just hanging out. It was a completely unexpected blessing that I'll always be thankful to them for. :)

An unexpected gift of 4000 Microsoft points- about $50 value. I have been asking for a long time for people to get me MS points instead of $10 iTunes cards (useless to me) or gift cards to restaurants I don't like. But nobody ever fucking does it, which is bullshit and shows how little my relatives think of me. So when my aunt FINALLY, FINALLY listened to me and not only bought me MS points, but a WHOLE BOATLOAD of them... well, it more than made up for the cellulitis.

Now use one of those left over restaurant gift cards, and take your Aunt out.

800+ dollars from my parents'.
Enough to spend a few hundred on this brief trip me and part of the family's doing into the States and the rest I'll save to make a fund for the next gaming laptop by the end of 2011, God willing.
w00t w00t!

My wife and daughter spent Christmas Eve making me homemade harissa paste and preserved lemons. That was awesome.

My bro-in-law got me a shiny new multimeter,
my parents-in-law got me a brand new weller soldering iron (instant heat, instant off. It buzzes like a transformer when I pull the trigger, its awesome)
and my wife bought me a work bench to stow all my loose tools / parts, which gives me the ability to easily work on any guitars / pedals I want, or fix and maintain my paintball gear, work on my computer if needs be, and maybe even build something. So her gift probably tops it, cause she really thought hard about it.
but! Gunny bought me the indie fright pack on steam. So he's awesome too.
