I tested this out by slaughtering the entire village of Seyda Neen... I then took the silt strider to Balmora and killed a bunch of guards.
By then my bounty was a little over 5,000 gold. At this point I had a death warrant and guards were no longer accepting my surrender. I went to the thieves' guild and was able to pay off my bounty.... Goodbye Death Warrant!

Thought this might interest someone... guess I was mistaken.
Several people have stated that there is no way to remove a death warrant. And they are wrong.
Hope this helped someone:cool:

Hey no, thanks Silencer. I was definitely interested. Thanks. I had always wondered if the thieves could remove a death warrant. Now I know. :D :thumb:

What happened to Seyda Neen? Any of them respawn or did you make it a ghost town?
Xaosin on 26/5/2002 at 04:25
LOL Now wouldn't that be cool? I'd love to do that. Eradicate an entire town and claim it as my own with my secondary character. Fill us in Silencer. I wanna know if they respawned.

I've never seen a normal npc (one with a name, I have seen dreamers respawn before), but I've heard guards will respawn...but Ra'Virr(the merchant with Daedric weapons) in Balmora has been dead for over 100 days and he hasn't come back yet that I know =P

I reloaded the game because I just wanted to test my theory out... I don't want to wipe out Seyda Neen... yet

How do you get rid of a death warrant if you've already completed the mission where you kill all the thieves guild masters?
Can the assasins guild do the same thing?
Please help or else I have to start over!

It's not the Thieves' Guild masters that do so, it's their 2nd in commands (the bartender in Balmora's South Wall Cornerclub, Toad Tongue in Ald'Ruhn's Rat in the Pot, and the guy next to Gentleman Jim Stacey, IIRC)

The morag tong don't remove bounties - they give you writs for official assassinations and look down on random murders...
Sorry :erg:
