i have loved yoga for a few years now, but i have recently read Iyengar's Light on Life book and completed a very short yoga beginners course (previously i had only done a few video tapes).
However, i'd like to get a grasp on a yoga routine that i could do daily (or thereabouts). Right now i feel like i'm just moving into poses as i think of them. Does anyone have any particular yoga DVDs they like? Exercise-centered is fine, but i would prefer those that are more rounded out incorporating both yoga philosophy and good health.

The sun salute can be found on the internet, if you don't already know it. It's short but the idea is to run through it a few times.
I don't really know about the spiritual side, I just know it's fairly decent for getting rowers warmed up.

I fully endorse Astanga Yoga. It's a bendy stretchy type, without any objects for help. Not that I'm either bendy or stretchy. Yet.
I think, with my limited knowledge so far after only a few months of it, that it might be useful if you try a course of the yoga style you're currently into, and then ask _them_ for suggestion of tapes or instructions.
The way I think, for me, I'd need a visual aid and spoken instructions to keep it up on a regular basis. I already got the chart of positions and the mat, but I generally lack the willpower and concentration to read it (insomnia makes you stupid) and do it in my home.
Thusly, I've borrowed a DVD of Astanga Yoga that, clearly, after having had it for weeks, I've yet to try. But I will. And I'll report back if it's any good.

Would this be the proper place to recommend a Wii Fit?
By the accounts that I've read, the yoga portion is good.

I've been thinking about joining a yoga class for a few months, the difficulty is finding time around the kids' evening activities. Maybe when my youngest goes to a couple hours a day of preschool next year I can find a class in that time frame. My interest was piqued by the Mrs. Pollifax books originally.

i actually like the Total Yoga series (if you are stuck at home and want videos). Not quite the same as a live instructor, but you can get the 4 disc DVD set that is pretty good for cheap (like $20 off of amazon).
It starts pretty basic but is good in my two cents.
