Hello!
So I've committed an error that I'm not sure how to get around. I've been given a House Hlaalu quest to kill the diseased rats in Yngling's pen. Well, earlier on, I snuck my way down there and, um, helped myself to some things, and while I was there I killed all the rats because I dislike the buggers.
Is there a way to resurrect only the game rats or will the quest be a failure?

Generally it doesn't matter if you kill them before getting the quest - just talk to Yngling again and he should acknowledge that you've completed it.
Unless it's a bug. :)

The thing is, the quest says to leave his "game rats" alive. In my, er, enthusiasm, I swatted them all...

Go back to Edryno Arethi and they'll pay you 1 Drake instead of 1000.
It's also worth noting that you can cure the blighted rats instead of killing them and you'll get the 1000 Drakes. :)

kill the three blighted rats or heal the 3 blighted rats gets you 1000, if you kill even one normal rat or more you only get 1 as a reward.
