Can anyone give me as accurate location as possible of a half decent Dia-katana? The best I've found is a steel one, campared to ebony broadswords, dreadic daggers and one handed katanas and so forth.

All the golden saints and dremora lords in the game (except the unique ones) have a chance of carrying one. Just explore and kill them till you find one. :)

Go to the Dren plantation near Pelgiad. There is a field inside the compound with a few netches floating about. In one corner is a watch tower up on stilts. Climb up and enter. There is one guy inside and he has a daedric dikatana. He isn't important to any quests as far as I can tell and, since there is no one else around, he is easy to kill. Just taunt and destroy! (Those guys are all Camonna Tong scum, anyways. No one will miss 'em.:ebil:)
Daedric Dikatanas are the best! But very, very heavy.
Have fun.:cheeky:
P.S. The Dren plantation also has several other treasures, so have a look around while you're there. There are a few quests related to some of the people, so you might not want to kill every one just yet. Be circumspect:cool:

There's a Daedric Dai-Katana on Venim. Either complete the main quest and you'll have to kill him to be named Hortator, or complete the Redoran quest line and you'll have to kill him to be named Archmaster. There's also one in an eggmine somewhere. Though I don't know the specific name, I think that it's the one on Red Mountain, on the path just after Ghostgate.
AFAIK, I've never seen a DDK on a Golden Saint or Dremora / Dremora Lord (and because of MW Advanced, they all carry only Silver Longswords and Bound Battle Axes, so I probably won't see one in a while unless one of those Golden Saint Assassins come at me carrying three Daedrics and a Towershield...), but I have seen a few Daedric Claymores. The Claymores have the exact same damage for Vertical and Forward movement, and greater for Horizantal movement. However, they are significantly heavier and can take less damage before they decrease in effectiveness.
However, I'd recommend you at least know the difference between weapon classes before you go around looking for a DDK... Just my opinion, though...

I do, and while those claymores sound nice, it's the principle of the thing. My Argonian has a soft spot for his 'exotic' weapons.
CrazyGoNuts on 20/6/2003 at 04:58
exotic huh? i heard tale of a crescent blade, and that's it somewhere at the end of the corprusarium treasure chest trail. i dunno what it looks like, but using the amazing magical powers of guessing and putting two and two together, i have figured that it must be some sort of blade, probably in a crescent shape. mmmm....croissant....
lemme know if this thing exists so i can seek it out, while i go find a croissant...*drool*
RyushiBlade on 20/6/2003 at 05:08
*laughs* Yep. It definately exists. And if your character is halfway decent with a lockpick, you can skip the entire corprusarium treasure chest trail. This has been mentioned before, but I'll go ahead say it again. The location of the Daedric Crescent:
Go to Divayth Fyr (in Tel Fyr.) Facing him, there's a bookshelf to your left and right. The one on your left has a small, locked, chest. Unlock it and inside is an amulet. Save and equip the amulet. ... You'll know what to do from there.

That WEAPON is truly EXOTIC:cheeky:

Cheers guys. I went to the plantation in the end, and I'm now runnig around with a big-arsed sword! :D
Ps. What do you guys do with all those extra suits of armour/swords/magic potions that you don't want to get rid of?
