just a personal question, rugburn.
Why do you have such amazing faith in the government to always have your best interests at heart?
And why do you hate people who disagree with your views so much?
Again, just personal questions. I'm not going to argue with your answers, and I'm not going to say anything more. I just want to know why you think the way you do.

Passive aggressive much? I may as well ask you why you persist in clinging to your ignorance like a life raft, and why you refuse to take a critical eye to the very tenets of your beliefs, which you have obviously not thought through.
I don't have unerring faith in the government, federal or otherwise. I actually have a very cynical distrust for most large government institutions and bureaucracies.
I simply have the intelligence and life experience to recognize large corporate structures for what they are - institutional bureaucracies with very different motivations that we ought to be just as mistrustful of.
So when ignorant fucktards come along and say "THE PRIVATE SECTOR WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER AT EVERYTHING. DEREGULATE. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SUCKS AT EVERYTHING." I can point out exactly what that opinion is: ignorant and ill informed. And almost always, against the personal interests of the one making the statement, which just makes it doubly sad.
And I have no enmity towards people that disagree with me. I simply have no respect for people who build their opinions on ignorance and construct their philosophy with poor logic. It's like using shitty tools to build a house on a foundation of quicksand. I'm happy to blow the house down, as many times at it takes.
I have even less respect for idiots such as yourself who persist in parroting these poor excuses for an opinion even in the face of evidence to the contrary. There are positions which, on their very face, one cannot take in good faith without being severely misinformed, and you have very much done so.

I think you have me and Th13fx confused.
I have never claimed that business should not be regulated; regulation is very necessary because the large, powerful bureaucracies spawned by what I call "corporate capitalism" are at least as antithetical to individual economic freedom as large government. Both are willing to use assassination and fraud to achieve their goals However, I don't pretend that government and corporate america are at odds with each other (ie, dick cheney)

It's ludicrous cynicism like that last line that betrays the lack of seriousness of your position. I have not confused you and Thief13x in the slightest, since you are not as cartoonishly ridiculous on the subject as he is (as I even lauded the one rational post you made on the very subject), though you contradict yourself regularly, and have not thought things through.

Then why the cheap concern-trolling about government competing with private health insurance in the last thread? It's a rehash of poor arguments that are taken by their adhereants on faith, without critical analysis, and for that I have no respect.

Okay I just have to call you out on this shit because it is
annoying the shit out of me
