And Scots, really, Sypha virgin jokes? Why not make a crack about Monica Lewinsky or Y2K while you're at it.:tsktsk:
Because the expiration date of Lewinsky and Y2K humor isn't merely the product of wishful thinking.
Your virginity just keeps getting funnier

Eh if someone is genuinely interested in finding out why it happens, that's not too problematic to me. But most of the question seems to center on proving the religious crazies wrong, and I think that's a shitty reason to ask the question.
I suppose it's human nature to want to know why, but I really don't care nor do I have enough time to worry about it. My life is busy enough as it is.

I think the possibility of preempting misguided attempts to "cure" gays is probably a good reason to ask the question though.

stitch, is it really so bad that I'm holding out? I don't want to have sex with someone I feel no emotional connection with... maybe other people have no scruples about that, but to each their own. It's not like I haven't been propositioned. I just see no point in doing it with anyone unless I care about the other person. In any event, I'm glad it's a source of humor for you.

Don't listen to him Sypha, you know you can't just be letting any old cock in there.

Leave that boy alone! He will get whatever is coming to him!

If human sexuality were merely a matter of sexual preference, it would be a pretty boring subject to me. I personally find it interesting because of the behaviour differences between the orientations, both male and female. For instance: lesbians I talk to who are more confident in their orientation almost always appear more masculine, both in appearance and attitude. These same people usually had almost exclusive relations with manly figures in their youth such as being raised primarily by their father and uncles, with little or no maternal influence. Gay males typically have tons of maternal influence.
This isn't the case with everyone, I know, but I definately see patterns.

Man, I think we are all missing the real issue brought up a little while ago and dismissed rather quickly. What's the deal with people having different tastes in food?! Isn't that crazy? It is when you think about it. We all have pretty similar dietary needs, personally I find that way more interesting than the "Why Gay?" question. Let's just chalk that up to to some hormone imbalances mixed with early childhood development or something and move on to the real question: Why do some people like chicken and some people like beef and some people like none?
Also, Sypha, you realize this is the internet and these people don't know you in real life, if the joke is growing so old to you, just lie it away! :D

I'm just jesting, Hidden_7, they can joke about it all they want, I don't really care. Hey, Lisa Kudrow didn't lose her virginity until she was like, what, in her early thirties, and no one called her a freak, though I think she probably had more people after her than I do.

Hey I was completely serious. You need to use your discretion and find someone who will finesse that.
