X360 performance. - by CCCToad

For those of you folks that have the xbox360 version of the game, how does it run?
Currently, I am running it on an AMD 3500+. with a x800 pro and 1gig ram. Oddly enough, I am having major stuttering will playing, combat in outdoor areas or with multiple characters is almost unplayable. Oddly enough, performance only gets worse when I turn the settings down.
I am currently considering selling off my copy for PC and buying a 360 version. Does the 360 version have these problems? loading times are ok, but does it experience this intense stuttering during combat? will I be able to play well with more than a few characters, or when outside?

Try reinstalling it or updating your drivers.
I'm playing on a 3200+ with 1g RAM and a 9800XT. And it's lovely! I've not got MAXIMUM DETAIL! but it runs very smoothly at 1024x768 with plenty of graphical doodads. So you should be able to handle it no probs.

drivers are the most recent.
Not shure how a re-install would help.
Background programs include Microsoft anti-spyware, Proventia desktop protection, and AV antivirus.

From what I've heard, the 360 version suffers from a few performance flaws itself. I dunno if it's as pronounced as what you're getting, but alot of people are complaining about it nonetheless.
Your best bet would be to tweak the living shit out of your computer. Kill off any unneeded services and any program running in the background. Go into your bios and make sure everything is set up for optimal performance (omegadrivers.net has a good bios tweaking guide), and all that other good blah blah bullcrap.
Oblivion has gotten me back into comp tweaking, and by grinding everything down to the metal I've been able to get a good 3-4 FPS increase on average. I'm sure you could do alot more with a little less since your comp is a bit better than mine.

Well, I suggested the reinstall because there's clearly something up - you shouldn't have any trouble with Oblivion. I've read another instance of people having good PCs and massive performance trouble having their problems fixed by reinstalling.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I got a digital download.
Anyways, I have a way of dealing with the problem....I added the 360 version to my gameQ, so I should be able to compare the performance. In the meantime, I'll prevent having to re-do too much by playing Ghost Recon instead.
btw, the Keep it! option on gamefly owns, great way to not only demo games, but get them cheaper if you like em.

re-installed the game.
No noticeable difference.

I have the 360 version and have had no problems at all, either frame rate or loading times. I think you might have a problem on your end Mobb Deep??

Yeah, those symptoms sound like a slightly bad disc that it reads over and over and over until it finally reads all the info, or a slightly out of whack or dusty or something read head (or whatever it's called) on your system itself. See if you can try out a friend's copy of the game, or take your copy to a friend's house to try on his 360. Then maybe you'll know more for sure what's wrong.

If you get really long load times, there's something wrong with your Xbox or your disc. I've been very impressed by the load times. The only time where it feels a bit long is when I go outside, but I didn't expect anything less.
I think it might have something to do with the harddrive cache on your xbox, or something. Google for it, there were more people with extreme load times...
