Who needs a gun - use the BOLTS.
They're heavy, accurate and you never run out.
But of course! Kill with bolts! Who knew - all the guns in the game aren't even needed!

Has anyone tried using them on living things yet?
For all we know, they could be the BFG of Stalker.

That would be a bug if it were the case, the bolts don't exactly look like a powerful weapon. :p

The knife man, the knife! Kills anything in one hit pretty much, you just have to ensure you don't get blown away before you can get up to him.

I tend to use the knife on controllers and zombies.
Controllers are a cakewalk if you just run towards them and stab 'em up.

Running up to them and unloading a magazine from an assault rifle into their face works fine for me.
Bjossi on 23/5/2007 at 21:56
That doesn't work unless you feed your gun with ammo. The knife works all the time and never needs ammo.
faetal on 23/5/2007 at 22:00
I don't bother wasting ammo on controllers.
If you get close to them, they can't really do much to you.

Nope, but they'll mess up your vision pretty bad though.
And I thought drinking loads of volka was tipsy ...

Just and FYI, but i was re-doing the X-16 lab on my second run and there's a small patch of non-PSI radiated area on the second catwalk. If you hug the far side rail you can restart the timer. I'm using the 1.0001 patch, dunno if this is fixed with 1.0003
