Hm, loading the trailer as I type. Could be cool. After all, Wolverine was probably the only cool thing about the X-Men movies anyway.

EDIT: LAWL, apparently there's a leaked workprint floating around.
So far they all appear to be fakes, so maybe not.

Can we please stop with the fucking comic book movies? I think Marvel knows they can't write a comic book worth reading and so they focus on movies to try and stay afloat.

Comic book nerds correct me if I'm wrong, but shit, I was a comic book nerd once upon a time when I was a kid and I swear I remember wolverine's power being his advanced healing, not the metal in his body. He had his bones replaced or encased with that metal (adamantium?) due to his ability to survive the surgery ie: his healing powers. This movie makes it look like he was born with metal in his body.
Edit:
Upon closer inspection of that childhood scene it looks like bone not metal, so I guess they're basing it on the idea that he always had those claws and later they were covered with adamantium to make them blades. Ok, I guess that works.

I'll take these over a Van Helsing sequel any day of the week.

Well, at least this one has Deadpool; so that gives it about 5 points from me.

They've made the character old than he actually is for the film, since there's an American Civil War bit in the first trailer.
Wolverine
is that old in the comics. The movie is a mish mash of 'Wolverine: Origin' (wherein it was revealed that he was born James Howlett some time in the early 19th century) and 'Weapon X' and some other crap.

The X-Men and Spider-Man film franchises have nothing to do with Marvel Studios and their recent and upcoming films, and the unified Marvel movie universe..

X-Men/Wolverine basically made me give up on vaguely following comics at all when they retconned in bone claws.
It was really "OK these guys are just taking the piss now" (somehow I let "Wolvie: indestructable international man of mystery, key to every plot line, soon to be accidentally god king of the universe" slide).
Or was it Junior Tony Stark? I can't quite remember.

Hey it's an X-Men movie that essentially focuses on Wolverine... they haven't done that before!

It could be something else entirely though. I don't think judgement on that aspect can be made until the whole thing is seen.
It does look like a DVD watch though. And isn't it Wolverine and Cyclops and Sabretooth origins?
