In which parts of the world (besides Italy) do they use the term "Hebrew" to refer to Jews? In America, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the English speaking world, "Jew" is the term in common usage for the religious / ethnic group, and "Hebrew" is the term for the language historically used by said group.

America and most of the English speaking world amazingly still speaks just one language: English. Practically half of European languages (Italian, Greek, Romanian, most Slavic languages, etc) retain the archaic term "Hebrew" instead of "Jew". This is like being offended that the Spanish word for black is negro.

Ah ok, it's just a matter of bad translation, then. And me, that I wouldn't put the word Jew because I thought it would be racist. :laff: Sorry for my ignorance.

It's still borderline racist, and stupid to boot. Jews make good actors and directors, black people are great dancers and basketball players, Italians are passionate lovers and Scottish people are all penny pinchers. It's dumb, dumb stereotyping.

They do, without jews there would be no Hollywood. I seen a film some time ago about the creation of Hollywood (PBS I think), the major heads of the studios were all jews. I'm glad "Hollywoodland" is in California (taxes). :)
