Damn it... I can't set the 10-keys to use for playing the PC version. Totally not happy. Can anyone explain why? Using W,A,S,D to move is more than just dumb. I was totally going to rock out on the number keys. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

You can only assign something (weapons, shouts, etc.) that you've marked as 'Favorite'. When you're in (for example) your weapons inventory and highlight one of your weapons, if you look down at the bottom left of your screen you'll see that you have the option to 'favorite' a weapon by hitting the 'F' key while that particular weapon is highlighted. Next, exit out of your inventory, hit the 'Q' key, and use your cursor to hover over the weapon (or whatever you've marked as a favorite) so that it highlights, then hit the number key you want to assign to that favorite.
Convoluted and a little disappointing since I couldn't assign more than 8 items and found that the minute you start messing around with your weapons (such as dropping them, putting them up as a display, then re-adding them to your inventory), you have to go thru the whole 'favorite-ing' process again. Same thing for potions or anything that you can run out of. But then again, I could be doing something wrong.
Hope this helps.

Sorry; I've heard so many complaints about not being able to assign #s to weapons lately. Should've read his post more carefully.

Yeah, this was just for movement controls. Can I use my Xbox360 controller? I just know I can't use my "Thief" setting with Mouse in right hand and 10-key movement on the left hand and I'm working about the major disappointment.

Never mind, I didn't actually know you could assign items to number keys so it was useful to me...

It's right there in the manual, you know.

...which if you bought the game over Steam is of no use whatsoever. Yes, I know you can download the manual through Steam, but it's a completely different kettle of fish when compared to having the physical manual immediately available. There is nothing in the game whatsoever that informs you about this feature, not even load screen tips.
