But, that's wrong. I live in Central, which is UTM -6. In my user cp, I even have central time zone selected, so why is it always displaying the incorrect time zone?
Not really a major problem, just a minor annoyance because too many numbers confuse me. :p

It is due to Daylight Savings Time. Technically you are no longer in GMT -6 as the time in GMT doesn't change when DST takes effect.
Example: The UK is in GMT timezone, however when DST takes effect it moves to BST (British Summer Time), which is why the forums say GMT+1 for me.

Actually, the server's clock WAS off by like 6 minutes (which I fixed), not that it has anything to do with what you were talking about, just thought I'd mention it. :)

Aah yes, I kept noticing that the difference between my clock and the forum time was always changing. :weird:
