I caught the last hour of it. I thought it had some of the worst dialog and writing that I've heard in a long time. Obtuse, prophetic speeches; cliched, metaphor laden discourses; more angst than a twelve year old on steroids; and then top the whole thing off with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
I missed the first hour of the movie, and could still guess the outcome of events long before they happened; mostly because they all follow the usual predictable patterns. The only things I think I really enjoyed were the original cylon raiders and centurions, mostly because they reminded me of a better show.
Or maybe because Razor was supposed to tie some elements of the series together and we all knew what was happening because well we were supposed to?
As someone who was very anti new galactica I've been swayed by actually giving it a chance. I don't like some of the forced dramatic plot twists like back when the mexican said he'd kill tyrels wife. This kind of crap the show could do without.
Thats what happens when crap like lost becomes popular. Fucking capitalism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The stuff that ties into the series is not the stuff that I'm really talking about.
The stuff I'm talking about is:
the bomb malfunctioning, someone staying behind, the protagonist shooting an unarmed civilian without any real cause, etc...Quote:

Yeah, that's my number one beef with the show. DS9 was another show that I couldn't connect with, I tried to several times, mostly because they were just far too overt with their themes and melodrama.

Ahh, DS9. One of my favorite shows. :)
I liked BSG before I knew that it was being written by many people who worked on DS9. Then I knew why.

Oh no! Is this the end of Conan-Colbert-Stewart fistfights?!
