IIRC, they got past Anna by using a LAM (or probably a less harmful grenade) in her direction, causing her to run and open the door. This seems to be a bug...Hm, bug? It'd be a bug if it were a problem with the engine, this way it could be inconsistency at best. And it's not, as when you get past her, Gunther does NOT utter his "I remember Agent Nevarra" <sp> line.
I'm amazed again and again at how detailed some parts of that game are. Reactions truly are based on actions and not by reaching a location [point and case, the person that did not send the NSF distress signal and "cheated" his way into the subway. He did not do anything wrong and did not get attacked by Anna nor Gunther :)].

I wonder if I could go through DX2 my first time without knowing what its like to kill someone.
I would have to kill people on my first time through definitely:mad:

I definitely will, if they make it possible. Actually, first time I played the Liberty Island mission I stunned only two terrorists - the ones guarding Gunther (there seem to be no way of sneaking past these two). I did the same thing at the beginning of Battery Park (using the secret passage to the castle) but once I got to the subway station I found it much more fun to dispose of the enemy, in different ways (with sniper rifle, prod (Dragon's Tooth later on) and crossbow with tranq darts as my favourites). Besides, if you avoid them you cannot get items/keys from them; a pickpocketting option would be welcome.
