Worst movie ever made? - by duckman

Yeah! Because a person's taste in movies (wide and varied, in my case) has absolutely everything to do with their taste in books!
I know that was a light-hearted jab, but you really are a knob.

In my defense, I would like to say that there is a bit of a difference between hating on the actual subject of a thread, and taking the opportunity to go "Shaun of the Dead? MORE LIKE WORST MOVIE EVER!", "40 Year-old Virgin? MORE LIKE WORST MOVIE EVER!", "Donnie Darko?", etc, etc.
. .somehow I get the bizarre feeling I'm being made fun of. :grr:
you know, this thread would be much better if it was changed from "worst movie ever" to just plain "movies you hate."

Then it'd just be a place where you posted every other day and the rest of us would be like, GUN.
Plus that isn't the idea of the thread in the first place.

I'll admit -- there's a soft spot in my heart for extremely bad, extremely low-budget movies. True, these are generally movies that I can only watch when inebriated and in the company of friends who can tolerate these celluloid shitfests, but there's a certain charm in the realization that, for the people who made a particularly bad movie- the writer, director, actors, etc.- they genuinely thought this was a quality movie. "Hey Mom, Dad, guess what?! I'm getting the chance to direct
ICE SPIDERS and
DOG SOLDIERSfor the SciFi channel!" At any rate these movies are far more enjoyable, at least to me, than big-budget Hollywood movies that get churned out for mass-markets; genuinely bad Hollywood movies (Waterworld!) are far more intolerable than the ones I'm thinking of.
For one there's MST3K factor that comes from being drunk & with friends. Then there's the chance of noticing actors from other places--"THAT'S the detective from that Seinfeld where Kramer goes to Hollywood!" The soundtracks are generally ridiculously awesome, like chase-music-in-Terminator awesome. Boom-mics that fall into the shot are instant win.
* For one, SciFi channel original movies are gold. Just look at this list, (
http://www.scifi.com/onair/index.php?id=1) - MANSQUITO, SUPERGATOR, RAPTOR ISLAND. There was once an entire day of giant-snake related movies.
* DEAD PUNKZ - (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0313341/) if anyone can ever see this one please do. I'm pretty sure half of the sound-track is raps that describe what's happened in the movie.
* ELIMINATORS - (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091003/) This one is like a sweet RPG- there's a Mandroid, a Ninja, a Mercenary, a scientist, and a robotic owl that shoots lasers in charge of stopping Julius Caesar, who has somehow gotten a hold of a time machine, from taking over the world...again.

Battlefield Earth (worst ever)
About ST, any movie that has plasma shots comming out
the asses of giant bugs that are taking down entire space fleets
cannot be all that bad. This movie is not meant to be taken
Seriously, if you don't know that.............well then.

Well then maybe you should learn about word-wrap.
frozenman, Eliminators sounds fantastic. Have you seen Hell Comes To Frogtown? I always wanted to see that.
