Last night I suffered through something called "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" on TV. I don't think I need to elaborate. :wot:

Anything that stars Tim Allen
Well (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0177789/) Galaxy Quest is excellent imo. Then again, it's the only Tim Allen movie I've seen so maybe it's the exception confirming the rule...

This thread forced me to buy Robert Heinlin's Starship Troopers when I happened upon it this weekend at a second hand bookstall. It better be good.
I hope you aren't under the misapprehension that the film Starship Troopers sucks because it's a bad adapation of the novel.

Most people aren't under the misapprehension that the film Starship Troopers sucks at all.

"Most people" are why Michael Bay still has a career, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make there.

Haha, I actually remembered that and thought "Oh fuck you're on thin ice here son". Especially since I was saying Starship Troopers the book is absolute rubbish (which it fucking well is, anyone who disagrees is to busy agreeing with the politics to notice how crap the plot and writing are) in the same post.
In my defense, I would like to say that there is a bit of a difference between hating on the actual subject of a thread, and taking the opportunity to go "Shaun of the Dead? MORE LIKE WORST MOVIE EVER!", "40 Year-old Virgin? MORE LIKE WORST MOVIE EVER!", "Donnie Darko?", etc, etc.
And Iggles you sexy man you, I have only ever claimed to be big, not clever.

No one mentioned Elektra yet? Could be considered even worse than Catwoman.

I like Starship Troopers, you galactic dunce.
And no, I'm not looking for Starship Troopers the movie in novel form either. I'm merely curious about the book given the discussion surrounding it and the adaptation, etc.

Oh!
Well...
I hope you got the large-print version.
