I would agree on that if I'd never seen Godzilla. I absolutely loathed it. In fact, anything Petersen or Emmerich ever made in Hollywood is complete trash (at least that goes for Godzilla and Independence Day, which I've regrettably seen, but I suspect movies like Air Force One and The Day After Tomorrow are in the same vein).

Stargate wasn't terrible. Had its fair share of problems, though.

Death Race 2000, baby! Saw that turd in person back in 1975!
I guess you weren't bright enough back in '75 to realize that Death Race 2000 was an intentional exercise in cheese. And an awesome one at that.
Frankenstein for President!!

Don't take it too hard Sombras. ZylonBane flamed me for not liking My Fair Lady.

I've seen that!
Yes, it was bad, but it was supposed to be bad. And it was funny when I was a kid.

Now that you mention it, he does have this slight 'enry 'iggins thing going. You know, the big brain, the superiority complex and accordingly the disdain for humanity.

In terms of hilarity ....Napoleon Dynamite, of course
:nono: and I've actually watched this movie 3 times and I still can't understand all the hype...or the humour, but the freinds love it so I gotta laugh along:erg:

Super Troopers is sheer cinematic gold. (Beerfest sucked, though.)
haha hellyeah, Super Troopers is my favorite comedy of all time! I saw Beerfest in theatres and thought it wasn't that great, but, ironically, my buddy is bringing beerfest over to my place tonight with a 30pk Coors so i'll have to get back to you on how the movie is in the state of mind it was meant to be watched in:cheeky: duno if it was quite as bad as you say it was though, and you really can't judge that movie until you watch it intoxicated imho because thats exactly how it was made to be watched....

Hey, you sound almost like I do when I'm defending the satire in Starship Troopers. From attacks by, er... you.
ZylonBane on 2/8/2007 at 18:57
If the ships in Starship Troopers had giant knives mounted on them, and the troops won cash prizes for every bug they killed, I'm pretty sure most people would have accepted it as satire.
Next you'll be arguing that 2 Fast 2 Furious was brilliant satire, and not in fact an extremely loud, stupid movie.

Anyway, back on topic, another one I'd add to the worst movie mix is The 40 Year Old Virgin. Normally I like Steve Carell . . . normally.
I second this. I had all but removed this film from my memory (thankfully), but it is indeed completely rubbish.
