I'd call them popcorn blockbusters deluded enough to consider a vast array of convoluted philosophical references depth. But I doubt that was the intended effect, and no they're not the worst films in the world.

I think the point was a lot of good points in a lot of damp singlets, from memory.
Ho ho ho. Nice one. I agree with your summation above, by the way. There was nothing more hollow and empty about the Matrix sequels than their pathetics attempt to redeem the boring action sequences with philosophical masturbation.
I too couldn't make it through
Be Cool. I managed about as far as Uma Thurman then gave up, it was simply unwatchable.

It's Monica Belucci. That's reason enough. :D

The fundamental problem with the Matrix series (especially the second and third films) is that it is a thoughtful philosophical treatment of the nature of humanity masquerading as a vacuous popcorn blockbuster.
Or, um, vice-versa.

One of the fundamental problems with Revolutions was that, if Teh One was intended -- nay, required -- to meet with the Architect in order to keep the Matrix intact (bullshit nonexplantion for this notwithstanding), the Architect would not have made it near-impossible to do so. He certainly wouldn't have made it potentially lethal to even try. It doesn't make a damn bit of sense.

The Master of Disguise. If you ever laughed at Dana Carvey at all (even cracked a smile), don't watch this. Otherwise, still don't watch this. I don't even think this would amuse a schoolroom of toddlers. Also starring Brent Spiner.

Tim Burton's "Planet of the apes". Technically good, but the screenplay was atrocious. I'm pretty sure an average 14 years old could create something less cliché and less politically correct.
Of course there were worse movies, but they tend to be funny. Planet of the apes was just plain stupidity.

Nope. :) . .. actually what you're describing above is pretty much what Shaun of the Dead is. . minus the token black character.
Hang on, is this another one of those movies you didn't watch but know all about? It's the only explanation I can think of

THIS IS MADNESS!
