Well I guess we just differ here, I don't think Bronson is unconvincing.
Nevertheless, if she is to you then it's not because she is a woman obviously since you seem to like Weaver in a similar role. And she doesn't have a lower voice than Bronson either.

Ya know, it really might just be the audio logs as a medium. With Weaver, you see her emotions and body language- without even speaking, her manner in the Aliens movies give the impression of 'ready to kick ass'. With Bronson, it seems less 'tough hero' and more 'monotone, pathetic voice actor'.

Yeah she sounds a bit monotonous sometimes. That could be the case though with someone who's trying hard to restrain any emotions. She may have learned that working her way up as a closet butch in Triop's male dominated security.

I wonder if any of you criticising Bronson have ever met a real military chick. Not from movies and notwhat but a real one. I'd say Bronson is not even that cold.
Her acting is great. But in some cases lacks shouting emotion. That "RESIST! RESIST!" log was really bad.
I really didn't like those Screw this, screw that, screw all! logs and there were at least two of them in the game which was even more pathetic. Lack of emotion.
I like Polito's voice acting the most.

My 2 least favorite logs are from Sanger. Just because she seems to get it right for the most part, but then puts a completely wrong emphasis on a word, or the tone of certain things she says just is so off-base with the rest of the log. For example, the "Malone's dead" log, she starts off really well, but then she says "alright Connie get a grip, get a griiiiiip" as if she's running late to her hair appointment. That and when she says "mama mia" as if she was sampling a spicey-a-meat-a-ball. These are the only logs that really just take me out of the moment they create.

Polito is the best in the actual logs, SHODAN and The Many are the best voices in the game though. :p
