I've spoken to french women quite a few time sin my life (was taught by a native speaker for a while) and Delecroix's accent isn't that bad really. My vote would proooobably go to that idiot on the rec dec (Huang?) simply because you can hear in his death-note (log?) a military bot clunking along. His reaction? 'Delacroix? Is that you?'
Unless she'd had some SERIOUS cybermodifications that would make even post-op Bloome blanch to sound like that on carpet, then... well. :joke:

Cant see whats wrong with Delacroix voice act either.
SS2 has absolute top notch voice acting. There are few games as high class as SS2 in this concern. The only games that measure up to SS2 are Starcraft and Warcraft 3. I didnt play everything of course, but I played a lot!
And then, regarding that half of the voice actors in SS2 were actually members of the development team, makes it an even more amazing effort in my book.

I bet that any of those french women knew how to pronounce 'Delacroix' correctly.

Delacroix's accent sucks. Period.
However, I have to admit that as I'm working in a mainly english-speaking environment, when I am on the phone or meeting colleagues and speaking English, I tend to pronounce my name "in English", sometimes just so I don't have to repeat myself. I don't particularly like it, but in the beginning I didn't do that, and I definitely had to answer quite a few "wtf who???"...
This could be a valid explanation.

Delacroix is a famous scientist already when she designs Sarah and the FTL drive.

What's funny about that, is the guy who did that recording is really French.
It may have been accurate, but it still grated over my ears.

Actually, the truth is that most of the french people I've met do sound like the 'Allo, 'Allo! characters when they speak english (not you Raph ;)). Just like most spanish people I've met sound like Manuel - actually, Manuel seems to have a better accent. But 'Delacroix' is a french name, dammit. She should at least pronounce it correctly.

Au fait, what is this "Allo Allo" thing you mentioned? (Unless it's a BioShock detail, in which case I don't want to know.)
