I feel inadequate to comment on the Israel-Palestine situation with any authority
But, of course, that won't stop you from commenting...

Certain questions must be asked, but I suspect they're rather different from the inane ones you are asking.

do we think of the Israeli soldier as a soldier or as a civilian

do we recognise the Palestinian leader because he was democratically elected
of course

Is it legitimate for Israel to threaten a foreign leader with assassination?
of course not

To my mind, and as I say I am not an expert, this seems like a strong overreaction.
Well, at least you got that much right.

Do all your posts have to be rude or insulting?
I'm trying not to jump to any premature or unwarranted conclusions.
EDIT: Ah of course grumblebums, you lost the soccer (football?).

Convict, you're asking a whole string of incredibly stupid and inane questions, with little relation to the issue at hand, for no apparent reason. If I was a little on the rude side it was for your own good.

They looked a lot like rhetorical questions to me rather than genuine enquiries. Making points I thought you'd have agreed with.

I'm sure you're now going to explain how "do we treat an Israeli soldier as a soldier or a civilian" constitutes a rhetorical question. I'm certainly all ears.

I fail to see how both sides can be so unreasonable. It makes it hard to take a side at all.
And I'm not talking about Stronts vs Convict here. In that case it's clear that Convict is being his usual clueless self.
Israel has clearly gone apeshit overkill over this but we all (should) know that they favour this kind of heavy handed stuff like beating a small child soundly for spilling coffee so he never, ever does it again (strategy fails again and again). But then the Palies are all "release 100,000,000billion prisonars NOW plz, k?" and the idiocy of the nation just shines through. And what the f is Hamas thinking with threats of attack? Don't they know that when one government attacks another it's called war? And war can lead to... occupation. Buffoons.

You never know, if everything is focused in the middle east, instead of world war 3 it could be Crusades 2.
Starrfall on 2/7/2006 at 17:53
I think technically we're up to like the tenth crusade or something.
Crusade X: Crusades in SPACE

The reason I said this is because basically every man and woman in Israel is a soldier (IIRC) and therefore if we apply the rules for soldiers for them all it could become quite sticky.
