Scientists in Canada, clearly the home of the
best university funding departments in the world, have (
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8206280.stm) produced a study detailing the likely success of plans to contain a zombie epidemic.
It appears that the only chance of survival for mankind would be to forget about capturing or curing the infected and simply to 'hit them hard'.
Why did my uni never do any research like that?

Isn't it easier to just feed them your least likable friend that has swine flu and be done with it? I don't know; if zombies are as boring as presented in the movies, my plan involves running like hell.

My father in his recent retirement is going slightly insane with boredom and has as one of his projects has stocked the house with a six month supply of non-perishable food in case of emergency. Seriously. It's sitting in boxes in the guest room.
They also only live an hour away and he has guns so that will be our first stop when the zombie apocalypse hits.
(also total lols at Robert Smith?)

That's nothing, the shelf in our basement is full of bottles with canned mushrooms from spring/summer 1986. The Chernobyl fallout was blessing for crops that year. We're saving them for worse times. Pity they aint glowing, we'd save some electricity when the energetic crisis hits us. :(
