Actually I love 70s clothing, they had a lot more style and inventiveness back then. Not these wall mart sweaters obviously, but then you could pick worse from any of the following decades.

Are you suggesting that we shouldn't be walking billboards?
...I love the idea of "Graphic Tees" with a company's name on them. You pay an exorbitant cost for a shitty shirt, just to become their living ad.

Some of it is cool Koyla, like that image you posted, but not the shit from JCPenny!
I've got a few pieces of vintage clothing, a little black dress from the 60's, a heavily beaded black top, weighs a pound or two, its gorgeous. There is good vintage, and bad.

Don't laugh. Just wait until flares and platform shoes are back in!

What is old is new again, so true. Lets just hope some of it does not make it back.

Somewhere in one of moms old photo albums is a picture of me at twelve in a paisly pirate shirt with a faux buckskin fringed vest and bell bottoms standing on orange suede platforms.
Of course by high school I was in normal clothing. By normal I mean a black T that said "normal" with a cluster of leaves and jeans and converse. Or just any black concert T. Yeah, I was in that crowd.
Does anyone else remember embroidered bluejean shirts? Had one of those too.
Man I loved that pirate shirt.

What's the big fuss? Majority of normal people didn't wear such wicked things anyway. Even many celebrities with some taste avoid too crazy things. Just a reminder that one vintage fashion catalogue can not accurately recreate wide picture of the past fashion zeitgeist.
What do you know about how funny the current fashion may look in 20, 30 years... I'm willing to bet some coppers that future generations will have laugh over our current tattoo and piercing mania. "LOL, grandma looks so silly with all those tattoos!"

Yes, I do, thankfully, I never had one. I remember my mom sewing me a pair of orange shorts one year, thanks mom. I've got a picture of me and my brother, standing in the backyard, he was home for a visit. I looked like I just crawled out of bed, wearing a plaid shirt, he was in a lovely plaid suit. Thank god we didn't match. :eww:
Great link Tonamel! It shows some awesome bell bottoms, and the children of the corn with skinned harlequins, what more could we ask for.

Out of the 26 or so concerts that I went to I had a t-shirt from all of my favourite ones. I had a helluva collection too.
Yes, I remember those bluejean shirts!
The item that stands out to me was the terrycloth jumpsuit. I used to know this guy who used to wear a white one all of the time. He was married but it didn't stop him from trying to score* with any female within proximity. The suit had a zip all the way down the front which gave him easy access to whip it out at a moments notice.
*Before you get the wrong idea, he didn't score with me - I was only 15.
