Whenever I read about this game it always reminds me of a old trilogy of Wolfendoom TC's called "Astrostein", which was basically Wolfenstein in the future. Similar-ish story.

I remember that one-played it years ago and had a blast!

Hell yeah. The entire Wolfendoom series was awesome. Sunk a fairly big amount of time playing all of those many years ago. Arctic Wolf was my favorite of the lot.

Yeah the new trailer looks good. The story doesn't seem to be particularly original, but it wouldn't take much for this to have the best narrative of any Wolfenstein game. Also, using a version of "Boom Boom" with German vocals instead of John Lee Hooker is an ingenious way of setting the tone and showing how much the world has gone to hell. :D

I gotta say, this looks like it's gonna be enjoyably Tarantinoesque in its delivery. Not the worst way to reboot a classic franchise.

Will be interesting to see how Doom 4 turns out, since its success will probably make or break Id's continued existence as a game developer. Rumour was that Zenimax might strip them down to being solely a game engine maker if Doom fails (from some Kotaku investigative journalism piece IIRC).

Is that really what passes for a 'gameplay trailer' nowadays? Well, sure looks cool so I'm cautiously optimistic about it.

Looks like a hoot. That DeathShed guy seems fun.
