a friend of mine lent me his deus ex cd, but i believe it might be damaged. my only hope is to manually install the needed files, since the installer craps out at Constructor.utx. (which is a texture file btw.)
do i need to extract all of the files on the cd? or if anyone had some sort of list, i'd be grateful.
stupid cds that won't work, now that i was really looking forward to playing it again. :(

Deus Ex installation is virtually direct copying of the files from the CD. Constructor.utx file is needed. If you are lucky that the CD is not damaged seriously, you can copy everything and run Deus Ex.

think anyone could upload it to a site temporarily for me? i'd be <s>grateful</s>happy.
edit: i hate repetition.

Ya got a cd burner? If you do than copy all the files to an ISO and burn the ISO rom to a cd.
Or you can just copy the cd.

my msn is trippywood@hotmail.com and my aim is Generalleo404, btw. if any of you are on.

thanks Uncia, but i'm affraid it's not working. the cd seems stubborn on the other files as well. i'm thinking of downloading the warez version and taking the texture and sound files that are missing from there.

Copy all the files from the Deus Ex cd into a folder on your harddrive. Then open up your cd burning program and have it copy all those files to the cd.
IMPORTANT- Be sure to name the cd Deus Ex or whatever the original cd is.
