to put things into perspective, a 1 year old boy drowned in a park lake today near where I live, one of my students was good friends with the family of said boy. Watch your kids people, especially when they are young.
the student also gave me a giant toblerone as a christmas gift!

I guess I've just been desensitized to emo rants, and assume most people threaten to hurt themselves over things like this but never actually do. I just can't fathom where a 13 year old feels that the future is so hopeless that nothing will ever change and that the only way out is suicide.
fuck, I was extremely overweight as an early and mid teen, I dealt with the nastiest shit from other kids, I cried alone to let it out, and when I didn't want to(:o he said it), but I always felt like that when I was an adult, things might be different.
I also had other emotional shit probably akin to what that girl had? idk, I just always thought that even if things seemed neverending, that once I was adult everything would change.

It's called mental health. People who have never experienced serious suicidal thoughts will never understand it.
