If you want to, say, create some 3D models for a game in 3ds max, you go PC.
Unless you're using lightwave or maya. ;)

Or Modo, Silo, Blender, Zbrush, Mudbox, really just about every other modeler out there. I think XSI and Max are about the only two big name modelers that don't have a Mac rev.

Most of the school's computers are Macs, as are most of the students.
In some universities' arts department, maybe, but I think that's pretty much it.

Also why is ZB so mean all the time? :(

Photoshop brushness! I approve!
ZB is ZB is ZB. Where would TTLG be without its perpetually grumpy cynic? He's the archetypal SS2 fan - SS2 for some reason makes the people who've played it jaded, disillusioned, and forever sceptical of everything else.

Hey!!! :mad::mad::mad:
At least I'm not a completely loathsome Thief Gen. Dweller.

What, you think it's too simplistic, childish, and pretentious?
Me, too.
Yeah, I had a feeling that it was done on purpose. Between that and the completely inaccurate comment about 3D modelers, that other have commented on now, it ended up bothering me.

Yeah, I know. Zylonbane is Zylonbane. I was being vaguely tongue in cheek when I posted that. The last thing I expected was everyone running up to me, explaining what I already know and making me feel really awkward.
Thanks alot, bastards. I hate feeling awkward, and now guess what? I'm feeling just that. I'm going back to Gengaming.
OKAY ANYWAY, I'd say that Macs are still arguably better for production than Windows. Hence the reason why you do see them in alot of studios and art schools. It's not exactly the night and day difference it was back in the early-mid 90's, when Windows Photoshop would crash every 20 seconds, and it took 2 hours to covert something to greyscale. But since OSX can still handle very large files more gracefully than Windows, editing video and working with high res images and textures feels a bit snappier on a Mac.

And wrong.

Oh, I dunno. There's at least some nerd merit in showing off your Garretted-out bling. SS2's cosplay potential is somewhat limited in that respect unless we're talking Halloween House of Horrors-style schlock. Which is definitely not as cool as lurking in the dark while wearing hoodies and stealing away the virginity of unsuspecting TTLGers from right
between their legs under their noses.

If you're feeling that awkward, you're obviously not wearing pants. And if you go back to GenGaming not wearing pants, you WILL run into Koki, who's been MIA for some reason, but will surely be back to mock at your pantslessness, and THEN where will you be and who will save you from more awkwardness?
I keep telling you to not go back there only because I'm trying to protect you from this shit, but you just won't listen to me.:mad::mad:

That's a totally different kind of awkwardness that ain't very awkward for me at all. Hell, I'd go down there in tighty whiteys, all letting lefty bulge out between the elastic, screaming "YEAH, I LIKE VIDJA GAMES. WHATCHA GONNA SAY ABOUT IT, KOKI? HUH?"
And the best part about that is? I will feel no shame. At all.
Also Windows 7 :thumb:

Sorry, I phrased that poorly - most of MY school's computers are Macs. And at least half of the computers at the school I'm visiting. Neither are art schools. But in this case, the student ownership is more important.
