I am having trouble getting Thief to work in Windows 7. I start a game and all seems great then everything locks up and I have to log off and try again but it keeps happening on several games. Is there a patch for Win 7 that I need?

You're probably experiencing the multi-core problem. None of the Thief games can handle multiple CPU cores. You have to tell them to use only one core. One way is to start the game, open task manager and set CPUs to 1. You should check out the FAQ for more details. They've got a way to make the setting stick but I don't remember what it was.
