The taskbar icons, and how it glows when you hover your mouse over it, does it pick the hover color based on whichever color is most dominent?
You're not convincing me.
You're not convincing me at all.

It would be right at home with POS "software suites" like Mozilla and OpenOffice.
Out.

Ubuntu's Shuttleworth on Windows 7:
"They've put concerted attention on the user experience with the shell.
I think it's going to be a great product, and every indication is we will see it in the market sooner rather than later."(

http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/thismakesmeangry.jpgHell like you should be. Shit be bad.
Beta update: two weeks in and no real problems to report. I got it mainly to have something to bitch about on internet messageboards, but so far, the only thing I have to bitch about is that it hasn't given me anything to bitch about yet. A couple of minor icon hiccups, and the taskbar occasionally popping up for no apparent reason is about the extent of it.
As long as MS doesn't do something unnecessary between now and release, I'll be buying this day one.

This looks nice, though I won't be using it till I get a new machine. My current XP desktop is over 3 years old, and so it's not really worth upgrading it - I'd rather use it as a legacy gaming machine.
Still, computer parts are insane cheap these days - looking at Tom's Hardware, it seems I can build a perfectly nice gaming rig for $600 or so.

Even though it will cost as much as a small car and you will use it to do everything you're already doing with the OS you own?

It'll probably be about 150-200 bucks. If I could buy small cars for that price, I would've already grabbed a dozen, riced them out, and sold them all to stupid high school kids at a 400% markup.

Because...
A: It's shiny and fast.
B: I've been using XP for 8 years now. I need a change of scenery.
C: I like the way the windows all fly up in my face.
If that ain't justification enough, I dunno what is.

Renz I am with you on this one. Day one (unless it's like $300). I've had a few minor problems, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. The interface is much better and the system still seems more stable than Vista (which came with the computer I bought six months ago, though I was only now getting it under control).
