Is it worth it at this point in time to change from Windows 10 to Windows 11? Or would people who are happy with Win 10 still recommend sticking with that version?

As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason to upgrade to Windows 11 unless you require one of the new security features added for work reasons.

I've finally reached my comfort zone with Windows 10, so I probably won't make the switch til Windows 12 comes out. Seems to me as though every other new Windows OS is usually buggy and generally panned. I'll wait.

My wife got a new computer with Win 11 and we reverted it. The big gaming feature is auto HDR. For a HTPC build, that feature alone will make it worth upgrading. For a desktop, I don't know. My monitor can't do justice to HDR content. The other big new feature is that you can run Android apps on it (major ones anyway). A Chrome-ified UI goes along with the Android integration. The user interface changes are polarizing, so try it out on somebody else's computer before you make a decision. Some people are saying it's faster, but benchmarks show no real difference.
To me, Win 11 is like Win 8, Vista, and Me - all are skippable versions. Win 10 support runs through October 2025, so I'm going to wait it out.

If you're planning to get one of those new Intel CPUs with the Performance+Efficiency cores, yes, you should. The thread director needs Windows 11 to help manage performance properly with those chips, and it's not exactly built for Windows 10. That isn't to say they won't work at all on Win 10, but you'll be getting somewhat compromised performance.

Thanks for the answers, which are useful. I've got an HDR screen, but I don't much use the PC for media stuff. As far as getting a new CPU is concerned, at this point I'd probably only get a new CPU with a new overall PC, and at that point it's likely that Win 11 would be part of the build.

My 2 cents as a PC/Mac engineer, no. Its not reliable enough yet, there too many instances of updates that break core parts of the OS.
And this is even with the TPM/Secure Bollox work arounds.
