Ever have cumulative updates for Windows 10 show 0% progress for update downloads for ever and ever? WTH is up with this? It has happened a few times before, but I wonder if there is anything to be done about it.

That's what Win7 and Vista users already experience since about one year ago. Looks like Microsoft changed something concerning the update process, but didn't test it well enough. For a while now, I have read similar problems from Win10 users now, but since I don't have Win10 (and this fucked-up update process in Win7 is one reason for me not wishing to use Win10 now), I can't tell you what you can do. Sometimes, it helps to let the machine search for 24 or 48 hours. Sometimes, it doesn't.

If you want to upgrade to Windows 10 from 7/8, it's better to wipe your partitions, and install it from scratch using your old 7/8 keys.
Though keep in mind that by doing this, you're permanently tying your old key to Win10, so you better make damn sure you like it before upgrading.

Thanks. At least I know it's not just me.
