Ok, I've finally made it all the way to the big boss and I can't kill the bugger. I've got the Mythril Sabre with the dust and dragon egg enchantments, my strength is 23, Combat 104 and defence 103. I must have hit him about 50 times, killied about 10 of those demons he summons, but he just doesn't go down. Is there something special I have to do, or do I just need to keep hitting him...?

After killing countless daemons and whacking him an endless amount of times, casting many many many spells at akbaa....I Finally got tired and just climped up on a high spot and lobbed arrows at him until he died. Im talking after litterly 2 hours of wailing on him and his pets with enchanted swords and spells....I finally killed him in less then 2 minutes with arrows.
I do recall him whining about me cheating as arrows 7-10 were fired but I merely looked down at him and said "Cheating? Who's the god of Evil here?" But thats evil for you. As long as their winning its okay for them to break the rules....sides, I dont recall at any time in the game taking the Boy scout Oath!

Now my problem is completely different. I have no trouble damaging him, and he's rather pathetic in all of his attacks - except for one. Whenever he pulls me to him and fires up Life Drain, I die within seconds.
I don't have time to use a heal spell, and even if I did, it would heal him as well, and I'd be back where I started. Even if my spell didn't heal him, the very Life Drain heals him by giving him my hit points. I never use healing potions, and it wouldn't help if I did because they heal in a radius as well.
How do you melee people deal with this problem? I really do not want to cheat and sit up on the buttresses.
