Just wondering if this rig will run this game at 800X600 or should i not buy it at all

I've a similiar system with half the RAM, and I'm getting decent frame rates at 1024X768 save in a few areas. With the 1.2 patch, even those areas are now acceptable.

OK....maybe i wont give it a try. I downloaded the demo......performance is not the greatest, just so so.....but im not impressed with the game itself at all :tsktsk:
Oh well.
I guess every time there is a sequel it cant be as good as the first.
It seems very console like to me....control wise and graphic wise.

Well, I´m wondering if it is worth the money. Personally I´d just love to play it, but then I remember playing the demo. well, the question is, if what I did can be called "playing". I´m running a 2.53GHz Pentium4 with a GeForce4Ti4200 and 512MBRDRAM, and the demo sucked performance-wise. It was just one big dia-show.
So I´m depressed. But now I hear it all over the place : DX 1.2 patch yay!
Now I´m not sure at all: To buy or not to buy? I mean, I played the DeusEx- Demo, but not the full-version, and I "played" the DX:IW demo just past the first guard, cos I just hated my framerates. Thjey were bad at all resolutions, I had AA and AF turned off, bloom, whatever it is, was turned off at all times, really NOTHING changed my framerates. And no, there wasn´t anything running but DX:IW. And I had the at that time latest drivers.
Question ( because I don´t wanna start a new topic running "Is this game okay?"):

I saw some of the screens showing the "user-enhanced" graphics, and I just...loved them. Now, I´d like to know:
Patch 1.2: Seems to improve gameplay experience in the whole. WHY? At the cost of...?
Replayability: Well, from what I´ve read here, there are several opinions:
One guy plays it for the fifth time and still finds out new stuff, the other guy is shocked, that the WTO doesn´t change its attittude towards the player irresspective of who he´s working for ( or something like it).

The Xbox has a 0,75 GHz prozessor and an outdated grafic chip, and DXIW works fine on it.
Sounds like a bad, from Xbox -platform to PC converted game. At the cost of several bad programming lines, I would suppose.

well, if it runs fine on xbox, it´s fine, but I ´d like to play it with this texturepack and I don´t know what I need for that, hardware-wise
