One thing I've noticed (or think im noticing) with ddfix is that textures don't seem to be quite as sharp as they used to be on my old graphics card (the new one is way better) - is there a remedy to that? I've got all my settings cranked up on my card (8 and 16x AA and maximum quality on everything!) and textures on objects like the larger red barrels and some wall textures still seem a bit less sharp than I remember..
I have the newest drivers for my Radeon card mentioned in the original post - maybe im just hallucinating that they were sharper before. :laff:

AA does slightly unsharpen your textures, you know. ;)

Makes sense :laff: Damn you for having to use things like "logic" and "common sense" when I choose to use ignorance! ;)
Edit: Whats the deal with the tags?

good to know you got T2 working seemingly fine (with ddfix), and with fog on this GPU and Vista - encouraging (if someone thinks about upgrade and preserving smooth Thief gameplay experience as with older hardware). 1 thing I'd like to ask you to test for us:
please install/run fps (frames per second) measuring app (like Fraps etc), then load T2 (preferably in some rather large OM and/or modern/resource demanding FM) and check whether you get any frame rate drops (and to which value) especially when the following particle-like effects are visible in-game: rain/smoke/water/snow etc etc (but not only - also with complex geometry being displayed etc). If possible, check this out with Thief 1/Thief Gold as well (with/without ddfix). Then report your results here.
ps which exact ddfix version do you use?
pps do you have any plans to install Windows XP on this rig? Would be good to have comparison with Vista regarding these massive fps drops I mentioned.
